Way overdue for a flag post, but now that I have a shop I’m rocking and rolling again! Wavy oak “We the People” for Brian Kilmeade at Fox, a wavy State of Maryland, and my recent favorite…Figo!! Here in north Georgia a state trooper had pursued and pinned a murder suspect in a ditch and long story short (great video coming soon) the perp shot and killed his dog😡. Keith is a golf buddy of me and my neighbor, so we went in together to make this for Keith. First time I’ve carved a portrait of any kind and it was an honor to do this one with Figo’s End of Watch date. Figo always wore a bow tie when off duty☺️😢 🐕😇

Simple, quick, and easy...but what a difference. Transforming homes can be anything and on your pace and budget. What can SAWD do to help?

Check often for the select flags that are just as much of a treat for me to build as it would be for you to display. Especially ones with a story! This one started out as a 200 year old white oak mantle salvaged from Mississippi. Why wait for a remodel to use it when I could make flags from it that would last forever? I started by saving the “live edge” from it, then harvested enough elusive white oak from it to make only three flags. Maybe not the aggressive wavy burned pine or wavy red oak, but it is the cleanest and classiest flag I’ve seen yet. Completed with hand carved stars and framed in stained red oak. Message for pricing.

Possibly my favorite transformation to date. Removal of silver patina cypress fence, replaced with 480sqft Timbertech deck. Covered the patio with tin roof with cypress posts and beam. Topped off with 8” copper gutters and all tongue and groove pine underneath.
