Marlene Nah opened African Foods & Gifts in the Crystal Shopping Center six years ago and added a deli and restaurant to the store before the pandemic. Nah says she puts an emphasis on her customers’ personal preferences. “We go beyond the cassava leaf and potato grains and we talk a little about family,” said Nah. “We make it a point to remember their names, remember their preferences.”

We are a one-of-a-kind retailer that features authentic African food, unique African apparel, jewelry from around the world and other exclusive gift items. We offer dry, frozen and unprepared food along with Liberian recipes, as well as prepared home cooked meals to cater to families with busy lifestyles. Delivery services and online ordering is also available for customer convenience. In addition to selling food and gift items, we also provide money transfer, faxing and photocopying services.
