Thanks to Laurie at The Doggie Paddle for showing us around today during their ribbon cutting. Great place for dog owners to bring their pooch to swim. Whether it be water therapy post injury, or stress free exercise for older dogs or training for the dock jumping competition circuit ( yes, that’s a thing) this is the spot! What a WONDERFUL event! Great idea Huntley COC.

The Huntley Area Chamber is excited to announce its inaugural Ice Sculpture Cocoa Crawl to take place on the downtown Huntley Square on Saturday, December 17, from 12-5 p.m. Holiday movie themed ice sculptures will be on display around the sidewalks of the square. Purchase a travel mug and s'mores kit and enjoy hot cocoa at various stops along the way, roast marshmallows and make s'mores. There is no cost to view the ice sculptures, but the hot cocoa is only for the purchased mugs. A travel mug and s’mores kit is $15. The option to purchase the items individually is also available. Travel mugs are $12 while the s’mores kit is $5. There are limited mugs available, register is open now!

It’s so awesome to see local business owners come together on a project. This mural on Green Street started as a dream. Then it became a project and after only 10 hours of fundraising the $18,000 goal was hit all by word of mouth among McHenry small businesses owners. Todays ribbon cutting was a reminder that small business is the heart of the community.
