We’re all about donuts, but not the ‘snow donuts’ in parking lots. Drive cautiously, maintain safe distances, and navigate the roads safely during this snowy weather! 🚓❄️

The Academy consists of a series of classes, discussions, and demonstrations of the Department's operations and divisions. The Department uses this educational program to enhance community safety, increase positive communications, and foster a partnership between the public and the Police Department.

Participants must be at least 17 years of age, pass a criminal background check, and sign a waiver as well as a hold harmless agreement. Fill out the Citizen Police Academy Application and contact Officer Kris Stolzman at [email protected] or (815) 356-3673 for questions. Application deadline is January 16th. Applications may be emailed to Officer Kris.

Throwing it back this Christmas Eve with a heartwarming photo featuring our officers, local students, and Santa Claus! 🎅👮‍♂️ Wishing everyone a joyful holiday season filled with peace and happiness from the Crystal Lake Police Department!

Just like Santa’s trusty belt keeps everything in place for his big night, your seatbelt keeps you safe on every journey. Buckle up for a sleigh ride as smooth as Santa’s gift delivery! 🎅🚗

Officer Sanders showing Rookie the ropes of a Lidar. Together, they’re gearing up for traffic enforcement duties.
Did you know the difference between a lidar and a radar? Lidar uses laser light pulses for precise distance measurement while radar uses radio waves. 🚔🎯 Drive safe everyone & remember to watch your speed!

High on safety, not on substances! Driving under the influence of any substance impairs your ability to drive safely. Remember, . Stay responsible and keep our roads safe for everyone this holiday season. 🚘

Today, the Crystal Lake Police Department and Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department united forces with Operation North Pole, a charity crafting magical holiday moments for children facing life-threatening illnesses. Together, we delivered heartfelt gifts, sharing joy and hope with a local family. We’re honored to have been part of this special moment and wish the family a holiday season filled with warmth and happiness. 🎁🚔🚒

Officer Muskala and Officer Diaz are officially on duty! Join us in congratulating them on their graduation and wish them the best as they begin their service as part of our team. 🎉👮‍♂️

Thanks to American Airlines, Rookie was granted a special opportunity to sit in the cockpit, and it’s a reminder for all travelers to prioritize safety this holiday season. Here are some airport safety travel tips for your journey:

1. Arrive early: Allow plenty of time for check-in and security procedures to avoid rushing.
2. Secure your belongings: Keep an eye on your luggage and personal items at all times.
3. Stay informed: Pay attention to announcements and signage for any changes or updates.
4. Know emergency procedures: Familiarize yourself with the nearest exits and safety protocols.
5. Be mindful in crowded areas: Keep distance where possible and be aware of your surroundings.

As the holidays approach, we want you all to have a safe holiday season. ✈️

Caught in the act! Rookie gathers ‘evidence’: candy, candy cane, candy corn, and syrup—channeling Buddy the Elf’s food groups! Should’ve known Rookie would sneak behind the tape. 🎄🍭

While Rookie's having fun around Ring cameras, he's definitely not a porch pirate! As our mischievous elf plays, it's a reminder to secure your deliveries. Use your Ring camera for surveillance and consider safe delivery alternatives to outsmart real porch pirates this holiday season.

Good luck to our friends at the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department getting food from their fridge today! 🚔🚒🔥

Beware of messages requesting personal information related to package deliveries such as one similar pictured. Do not click on suspicious links asking to ‘confirm’ details, as they might lead to scams or phishing attempts.
