The time has come that I have to put our little guys safety first By starting my maternity leave a little earlier then we had planned! 12 hour days at the salon on my feet just aren’t the same these days! I plan to be back a couple days a week in October from a salon my husband has built me located in our shop in Desoto and 1 day a month at Studio 7! I will be reaching out to all appointments booked in the near future to reschedule! That being said waiting until October isn’t ideal for most of my clients and would love to set you up with another stylist in the mean time! All upcoming openings starting in October will still be booked through the website below for my desoto location! Thank you all for your understand and patients and I can’t wait to be back doing what I love 💕

We have decided to share our crazy journey with you in light of maybe helping or encouraging someone else going through the same thing as us!

As most of you all know, we are 24 and 22 years old, married, and so excited to start a new chapter in our life.
After being married for 1 1/2 years we decided we were ready (or as ready as you can be) for kids! It doesn’t take long right? Maybe a couple months?

Boy were we wrong. Month after month was a disappointment. After a year and a half of trying to conceive we decided it was time to seek out help.
We sought out a doctor who at our first appointment did some routine blood work and told me I was just stressed, needed a vacation, and it would happen when it happens. They also suggested some further testing be done if we wanted.

February of 2020 we went ahead with additional tests and were told we had very few options and a low percentage of ever conceiving a baby naturally.

Saying we were shook is an understatement. You always see stories about infertility but you never imagine it happening to you. 1 in 8 couples struggle with infertility and we knew we weren’t alone.

After processing these results we realized we needed to get a second opinion and decided to seek out a new fertility specialist recommended by a family friend.
Our new specialist was WONDERFUL , so welcoming, comforting, and supportive. After the consultation, and going over previous test results, our doctor needed some more answers.

5 fertility tests later, test after test showed it just wasn’t in our favor to conceive naturally.

We were told our only option is IVF.

We knew we had a long road ahead of us emotionally, physically, and financially considering our insurance doesn’t cover anything Fertility related whatsoever.
*cue our spinning heads*

What a whirlwind, BUT, we have ANSWERS and we are so ready!
After LOTS of research and appointment after appointment we realized financially it was what seemed nearly impossible to make IVF happen.
BUT, God is SO GOOD. We have such an amazing support system and are so thankful for our friends and family so willing to help, not only financially but emotionally and prayerfully too.

Right now we are leaning not only on our friends and family but on our faith in God. We realize that he has a plan for us and this is just part of it. While this might not be what we want or had in mind, his plan is ALWAYS better, which we are keeping that in mind, and Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us of just that.

More than anything, we would love for you to put us on your prayer list as we start this next crazy journey of IVF at the beginning of September!
We appreciate all of the help and support we have had so far and are praying in the end this is our way of starting our family!
