Scientists have mapped where humans feel emotions in their bodies, which was first discovered in Hindu culture LONG ago - but it turns out that most of us feel our emotions in similar places!

Even if you're disconnected from your body and think it's all in your head - you're still creating the sensation in your body whether you realize it or not. This is why it's CRITICAL to be in alignment with your truth and to strengthen the connection to your inner emotional life through mindful practices so you can discern feeling sensations in your body and do what's necessary for your well-being.
Feelings are thoughts in your head but felt in your body - in all different places. For instance, love and heartache are felt in very different places in the body, whereas excitement and fear feel nearly the same.

The human mind is strongly embodied in you.

When you feel negative emotions, it takes a toll on your body. When you're stuck in a negative emotion, your body isn't able to function optimally, recover as quickly, and puts stress on your aging.

When you feel emotionally positive, your immune system is healthy, you feel curious and at peace, you're sleeping and eating well, your face is expressive, you're emotionally relating to others, you more easily understand and listen to others, and your body feels calm and grounded.

There's NO WONDER why "happy & healthy" are regularly said together 😁.
CONCLUSION: Knowing this hopefully inspires you to not sit in your negative emotions for long. Yes, you must grieve, validate, and empathize with your feelings when life doesn't go your way, but then it's your job to SHIFT as soon as you can so you don't create long-term adverse effects on your body.dy.y.dy.

This is tough for most of us. I often chastise myself for the wandering mind during meditation and yoga. Tomorrow is World Meditation Day. Accept what is natural. Develop a mantra. It gets easier. 😊
