Riverview Cemetery in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. The legend that has existed for decades surrounds the grave of a suspected witch, who was buried standing, to prevent her from escaping. It is said that anyone who defaces her grave will suffer an awful curse. Her name is Martha Jane Copland, who was buried in 1861. The inscription on her gravestone reads “cursed be the man who disrupts this grave”. While urban legends surround the graves about the early 1800-1900’s, inscriptions of this nature were made to ward off grave robbers!

One of the most interesting places I’ve visited ! So much history, and of course an abundance of paranormal activity reported. Built in 1876, it housed the sheriff’s family, and 6 jail cells. Two rooms have been restored to depict a parlor, and bedroom, reminiscent of the 1800’s. The rest of the jail, located behind, yet attached to the building, are the original jail cells. Hauntings include, whispers, footsteps, apparitions, and documented EVPs. Board of Directors Museum Curator, Brian Huben, was kind enough to show me and my cousin around this amazing historical site in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. This is a “must see” and experience for anyone who loves history and mystery! Thanks again, Brian! Although we didn’t get any activity to document, the feeling of anxiousness, and an occasional hot spot was felt by us.
Excited to be heading out to infamous Door County, Wisconsin next week. Many investigations planned, including the Karsten Hotel and Historical Jail and Museum in Keeaunee, Tornado Memorial Park, in Brussels, and the Institute Saloon, in Sturgeon Bay. Lighthouses are also on the list, and taking a haunted trolley in Egg Harbor! Hopefully I’ll get some amazing results to post, regardless, going to have a great time ! Any suggestions?

Reinzi Cemetery, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Established in 1845 by Nathaniel P. Tallmadge, one of Wisconsin’s oldest burial grounds. He was a devout Spiritualist, who believed he could communicate with the dead. Shadows, orbs , and full-bodied apparitions. The “Witches Circle” located at the back of the cemetery is said to be haunted by excommunicated nuns. Also, this receiving vault has been deemed a portal to hell. Did some simple investigating. Nothing to really report except a calm feeling, and also at times feeling watched. Especially by the Tallmadge Family graves.
Doll room session, Glenbeulah School.

One stop on our ghostly adventure was the Old Glenbeulah School, in Glenbeulah, WI. Thanks to Melissa for a very informative and personal tour. This school was built in 1938 and served many grades, from Kindergarten to High School. It closed in 1995. Among its historical attributes, is the presence of many anxious spirits. Several ghost hunters, as well as tour goers, and owners of the building, have experienced slamming doors, hearing footsteps and children’s laughter, hair pulls , and lights turning on and off. The famous Doll Room is most active, with voices, and dolls turning their heads. Other then some cold spots, and anxiety, we did not get any results with EVP’s , but did get some hits on the K-2. As is customary for paranormal groups to sign the black boards, you can see Adam Berry’s signature from Kindred Spirits (Paranormal TV show). All in all, an amazing experience!!!
