Due to snowy/icy road conditions there will be no church services at St. Mark's UMC. Stay warm and take some time to thank God for all that he does and is doing.

Christmas Eve services will be held at 7:00 pm. Come and spend some time celebrating the "Reason for the Season". See you there.

A thank you from a NJ resident: After Hurricane Sandy I went to see my house in Beach Haven West, New Jersey. Beach Haven West looked like a war zone! There was debris from other homes, boats and decks all over covered in a half-inch of mud. The house I own had 5 feet of water go through it but it was still standing. There was mud, sill and dirt everywhere, in side the house! It will be a long clean up process. However, many people have lost so much more.

I'm writing because I want to share that on Saturday, November 10, 2012, I went down to start the clean up process. At around 8 AM, two young people
representing the United Methodist Church (UMCOR) showed up to distribute, door-to-door, construction buckets filled with cleaning supplies. Well, you will never know how surprised we were and how good it made us feel. It was
just what we needed. We tried to offer the young couple a tip for their consideration but they refused.

We have so much & in so many ways this will be a very long inconvenience. We'll be fine and we truly are grateful for our many blessing. Thank you for the true Christian fellowship you have demonstrated. We will never forget it. #umc #umcor

UPCOMING SMALL GROUP STUDY: Means of Prayer - Beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 22, a new small group study will be held at St. Mark’s UMC each Wednesday at 10:00 am. The Pastor will be teaching on the different forms of prayer that the church has used over the ages. An evening session will be offered if there is enough interest. Please sign up with the pastor.
