One of the most important aspects of clinical research is raising awareness of clinical trial opportunities. Clinical Trials Day raises awareness while recognizing the patients and teams who work together to create a difference for future patients. Thank you to our past, current, and future research patients and their families for participating in our clinical trials since 2016 and helping pave the way for future treatment options!

Thank you to U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy for including Kathy Oubre in yesterday’s field hearing on Healthcare Affordability: Perspectives from Employers, Providers, and Patients.

Kathy was honored to represent Ponchartrain Cancer Center and the patients and families we serve across Covington, Hammond, Bogalusa, and the surrounding communities.

In community oncology, affordability is not an abstract policy issue. It directly impacts whether patients can start treatment, stay on therapy, get to appointments, and manage the everyday expenses that continue after a cancer diagnosis.

The hearing provided an important opportunity to discuss the real challenges patients face navigating the cost of care, the importance of preserving access close to home, and the need for policies that reduce barriers rather than add to them.
