C.W. Coins
Small shop - big love for the hobby. Local coin dealer based in Social Circle, GA specializing in coins, bullion and scrap jewelry.
Honest appraisals, fair pricing and no pressure service. Swing by the shop or send us a text or call for an appraisal!
Back in the shop today and maaaan I missed it!
Continued business as usual, we bought coins, sold coins, helped a few people throughout the day, but takeaway of the day was realizing how much I enjoy being here.
My hope is that CW Coins becomes the kind of place where people feel welcome to stop in, hang out, talk coins, learn something new, and feel at home.
Looking forward to doing it again on Saturday. 🪙
Just a heads up:
CW Coins will be closed Tuesday, June 16.
We'll be back open Thursday from 10-3 and Saturday from 12-5.
Appointments are always available outside normal business hours!
Another Saturday in the books. 🪙
Started out busy, got to meet a fellow collector I’d only known through Instagram, picked up a beautiful toned Morgan, and spent the afternoon catching up on orders and shop projects.
What a week - there’s always something to do when you’re building a business. 😅 Appreciate everyone who’s stopped by and supported CW Coins these first couple weeks. Grateful 🙏
DAY FIVEEE!
Started the day with a cool trade involving a key-date Flowing Hair Half Dollar and some other great coins from a returning customer.
One question came up repeatedly today: “Where is spot headed next?”
Short answer: nobody knows
Gold and silver move for all sorts of reasons, interest rates, inflation, world events, market sentiment, and sometimes seemingly no reason at all.
Could spot be higher tomorrow? Sure.
Could it be lower? Sure.
The only thing I’m confident in is that I’ll still be here buying, selling, and talking coins either way.
See y’all tomorrow!!
Day 4 in the books. 🪙
One thing that’s stood out already is the community that’s forming around the shop. I have a ton of great connections with people I do business with online, but it’s just different in person.
Had one customer stop by who’s been here 3 of the first 4 days we’re open, a couple bring in some incredible early U.S. coins from the 1790s, and had a dealer friend make the trip over from Alabama to trade a few coins.
The coins are great, but the people are what make a coin shop special.
Appreciate everyone who’s stopped by so far.
Super excited about this. The website isn’t really about coins, but accessibility.
When someone inherits a collection, finds some old silver, or just wants to know what they have, I want them to be able to find a local coin dealer they can talk to.
The internet can provide information. But unfortunately there’s a lot of inaccurate or misleading information. Sometimes you just need a person.
That’s what we were trying to accomplish with the new site. Still making some tweaks, but check it out! Link in the bio because apparently you can’t link it in the video 😅

One week ago today we were putting the finishing touches on the shop before opening day.
Today, we're taking a day to worship, rest, and reflect on what has been an incredible first week.
Thankful for everyone who has stopped by, shared a post, referred a friend, made a purchase, sold us a collection, or simply wished us well.
Looking forward to seeing what week two brings. 🪙🙏
Day 3 is in the books. 🪙
Started a little slow, but picked up throughout the afternoon. We bought some sterling flatware, helped a few collectors find what they were looking for, and finished the day with a nice group of inherited 90% silver coins.
One conversation really stuck with me. A customer mentioned he could have bought the coin he wanted online, but getting to see it in person, talk coins, ask questions, and share knowledge is what makes a coin shop special.
That’s exactly why I wanted to open one.
Looking forward to doing it all again next week!

Imagine carrying this in your wallet in 1934?
$500 in 1934 would have the purchasing power of roughly $12,000 today. Talk about a bad bill to fall out of your pocket 😅
This note is currently available at CW Coins for $2,000.
Question for everyone:
If you found this in an old family collection, would you keep it or sell it? 👇
Day 2 in the books. 🪙
It’s interesting seeing the balance between the collector side of the hobby and the business side of running a coin shop. Today started with numismatics, trading, and collector coins, then shifted into bullion later in the day.
Bought a bunch, sold a bunch, met some great people, and packed in more activity than I expected for week one.
Now it’s time to get online orders out the door and get ready for Day 3 on Saturday! Let’s gooo!
