The Masonic dyslexia program is a free, 2 year program for students struggling with reading. Classes are conducted by a certified teacher / facilitator.
The Masons of Louisiana assist qualified children who are affected by dyslexia in very small classes which meet after school hours. The program of instruction used is the Dyslexia Training Program developed especially for training dyslexics by the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas. October is Dyslexia Awareness Month. 1 in 5 people have dyslexia. It affects all ethnicities. But along with the challenges of being dyslexic, comes some incredible strengths in higher order thinking skills.
