Next school year, we will expand from serving one grade level to serving both 4th and 5th graders, giving even more students the opportunity to build confidence through reading.
To make that happen, we need more caring adults to join our team of Reading Mentors!
Just one hour a week can help a child strengthen reading skills, build confidence, and discover a love of books that can change their future.

What a Day for Our All-Star Readers!
The cheers were loud, the smiles were endless, and the memories will last a lifetimes.
Our Baldwin Reads scholars traded their classroom seats for seats at the Atlanta Braves game as a reward for a year of hard work, determination, and growth in reading. These students set goals, pushed themselves, celebrated progress, and proved that dedication opens doors to incredible opportunities.
Watching them experience the excitement of Truist Park wasn’t just about baseball. It was about showing our readers that their effort matters. That perseverance pays off. That books can take you places.
We are so proud of every student who worked toward this goal and especially proud of those who earned this unforgettable experience. You represented Lakeview Academy and Baldwin County School District with enthusiasm, kindness, and Eagle pride.

Wonderful celebration of our 4th grade scholars and all they accomplished this school year.
Thank you to the incredible teachers, staff, families, and Baldwin Reads volunteers who helped these students grow, learn, and soar.

If you listen closely tonight, you can hear the excitement floating through the air.
Tomorrow is more than a baseball game. It’s the ending of a story these scholars have been writing all school year long. A story filled with books, reading goals, quiz scores, encouragement, perseverance, and moments where students discovered just how capable they truly are.
Tomorrow morning, sleepy-eyed readers will climb onto buses carrying more than just snacks and Atlanta Braves gear. They’ll carry confidence. Pride. Memories. Proof that hard work can open incredible doors.
Seventy-nine scholars earned this moment through determination, growth, and a whole lot of reading. And while the stadium will be filled with cheers, nothing will be louder than the pride our scholars feel realizing what they can accomplish when they believe in themselves.
Tonight, we dream about baseball.
Tomorrow, the adventure continues.

The countdown is over! Lakeview Academy 4th graders will finally find out who earned the BIG Atlanta Braves VIP experience this Sunday!
These scholars have worked ALL YEAR toward one goal: reaching an on-grade-level reading diagnostic score through dedication, growth, perseverance, and LOTS of books.

79 students qualified for this unforgettable experience!
Tomorrow’s pep rally is going to be full of excitement, celebration, and some very proud readers. We cannot wait to cheer on these scholars and recognize the hard work they’ve poured into their reading journey all year long.

Today, the 4th graders at Lakeview Academy brought their Max Museum exhibits to life, and what an incredible morning it was! Over the past few months, students have poured their time into researching, designing, and preparing their projects. Many even chose specific books to help them better understand the historical figures they were representing.
Seeing the hallways filled with families, friends, and community members stopping to listen, learn, and support these young scholars made the experience even more meaningful. Their hard work, creativity, and confidence were on full display today, and it was so much fun to witness.

The best kind of decision making is happening this week… “Which book should I pick?!”
Book Distribution Week is always a monthly favorite around Baldwin Reads. Watching scholars explore new titles, find books that interest them and leave excited to read is what it’s all about.
