🐍 No Rat Returns: Due to strict health and safety regulations, we absolutely cannot accept returns on live feeder rats once they have left our store. This rule is in place to protect the biosecurity and well-being of all the animals in our care.

While it might seem frustrating to be stuck with an unwanted rodent, this strict policy exists for one critical reason: biosecurity.Returning a live animal from an outside environment introduces severe health risks that could easily devastate the pet store’s entire inventory.The Threat of Pathogen TransmissionOnce a feeder rodent leaves the store, it enters an uncontrolled environment. Even if your reptile refuses to eat it, the rodent has likely been exposed to your home, your handling, or the enclosure of your pet. If that rodent is brought back and placed into the store's communal housing, it can introduce devastating pathogens, including:Salmonella: A highly contagious bacteria that can rapidly spread through rodent colonies and infect humans.Rodent Viruses: Pathogens like Sendai virus or Mouse Hepatitis Virus (MHV) can wipe out hundreds of breeding or feeder animals in days.Mites and Parasites: External pests can quickly hop from the returned rodent to the store's clean enclosures, causing a massive infestation.Preventing Cross-ContaminationPet stores keep their feeder animals in highly controlled, regulated environments to ensure they are healthy food sources. Do to a glitch with shipping our cricket supply will be one day late. To help ease confusion we have switched our normal twice a week cricket replenishment to once a week with a larger order. The new delivery day will be Wednesday for crickets, horned worms and super worms.
