WOODBINE FIRE & RESCUE

Comments

I’d like to thank WOODBINE FIRE & RESCUE for the invitation to the Pie Supper! We were able to score a delicious Chocolate (Pudding) Pie made by Joann Fore. Which Samson has thoroughly enjoyed!
I’d like to thank all the candidates that were able to come and help raise money. Woodbine is blessed to have such a wonderful and knowledgeable fire department.
I’d like to also thank them for the opportunity to speak at this event. It was my first political speech. I was hoping to get to watch some of the pro’s first, but I got there early and received number 2! The person who received number 1 was running uncontested! 😂 We got it done, and I believe it came across.
We left a little early to grab some food! I’m so green at this political stuff, I thought there would be food at the Pie Supper! 🤦🏻‍♂️
Fixing to head to WOODBINE FIRE & RESCUE Pie Supper starts at 5pm! Come joins us! Meet your candidates! Got these delicious cakes donated by Sugar Boogers Custom Cakes!
This morning I would like to encourage everyone in the 4th District and all of Whitley County for that matter to join me this Saturday at WOODBINE FIRE & RESCUE! The event starts at 5pm!
If you’re on the fence, not sure who to give your vote to. This is the perfect event to ask the Candidates your questions and have them address your concerns.
I hope to see you all there! I look forward to speaking to you and shaking each of your hands!

Volunteering some time for WOODBINE FIRE & RESCUE and KY Emergency Management on the Laurel River below Laurel Lake Dam. Using a Gladius Mini ROV we were able to search and clear areas that were not practical to dive due to terrain and accessibility .
This weekend was the inaugural The Lovely Laurel River Lake Paddle Blast presented by Corbin Tourism and Convention Commission & London and Laurel County Tourism and it truly was a blast! We had over 50 paddlesports racers liquid shredding the crystal clear waters of the lake, along with over 40 people who participated in paddlesports demos hosted by the Kentucky Waterman Series series sponsor, Southern Paddlesports LLC and our friends from West Virginia, Appalachian Boarding Company. Big ups to our events sponsors, The Wrigley Taproom & Eatery, You and Me Coffee and Tea, TreeTop Family Adventure, & Sheltowee Hammock Company, volunteers ( Aaron Denney of Vindura, Andrew D. Powell, Joshua Trosper, and Laura Gregory of Kentucky Waterways Alliance's Red River Watershed project) for making this one of our most memorable Kentucky Waterman Series events of summer 2017! Also huge thanks to our law enforcement/ safety personnel from London - Laurel County Rescue Squad, WOODBINE FIRE & RESCUE, and Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources for providing safety for our paddlers!

Please pull over to the right and stop for emergency vehicles.
It may be your loved one that we’re coming to help.

While responding to an emergency today one of our units had at least five vehicles that refused to get out of the way.

So remember if you see an emergency vehicle please get out of the way someone’s life may depend on it.

The News Journal » Our first responders deal with a lot We all know that our firefighters deal with a lot, particularly our volunteer firefighters, who don’t get paid for what they do. There are structure fires, brush fires, and auto accidents in addition to a host of other calls.

The combination of low relative humidity and gusty winds will bring an increased fire danger across eastern Kentucky today. Portions of the area are under a Red Flag Warning from late this morning through early this evening.
