Foxfire just launched a new "COVID-19 Oral History Project," which invites people from West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama to contribute interviews. The site includes the project description and timeline as well as downloadable instructions, release forms, and additional info forms as PDFs: https://www.foxfire.org/covid-19-oral-history-project-2/. (The Vermont Folklife Center also launched a “Listening in Place Project” also focusing on COVID-19 with interview and audio tips, question prompts, etc. https://www.vermontfolklifecenter.org/listening) … While this is a stressful and uncertain time for many, this is an excellent opportunity for families and students of all ages to practice conducting interviews and contribute to public documentation and scholarship on the current moment.”

vermontfolklifecenter.org While many of our family, friends and neighbors are at work on the front lines—healthcare workers, supermarket employees, emergency responders—a whole lot of us are at home, often with family members, or alone, working (or not) and waiting anxiously for something to change.
