Thank you for registering for the 9th Annual Team Red Shamrock Trail Challenge. We look forward to a beautiful day on Saturday, as we practice social distancing and race in place!
Packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday from 10:00am to 5:00pm, at Active Endeavors, downtown Iowa City. To keep everyone as safe as possible, we ask that you call to the Active Endeavors line at 319-337-9444, (or text John at 319-530-1981) to let us know you're outside, and we will bring your gear to you curbside. If you're on foot or bike, knock on the door or call/text and we'll hand it out to you. If you are not comfortable with curbside service, which is totally understandable given current conditions, and live in the area (IC, Coralville, North Liberty), let us know by return email, and we'll will drop the packet(s) at your home over the next few days. (Please note, we are a small, volunteer run organization, so it may be a couple of days if you opt to receive your packet this way). If you are from out of town and can't make it to Active Endeavors during the designated time, no worries, we will ship your packets to you next week. If you are from out of town and CAN make it to packet pick-up, please consider picking up for other runners in your town or group, to save us from having to ship them all separately. We would just ask that you contact us ahead of time so we can get them ready for you. Thank you all for your patience in this matter!
On race day, since we are unable to run together in Hickory Hill Park, we ask that you put on your Red Shamrock gear or some red, and RACE IN PLACE. Practice social distancing, and go out to parks, trails, roads, tracks in your town, or on your own treadmill and run 6K as a part of Team Red Shamrock! We want this to be one of the highlights of your quarantine days, so have fun with it! Take photos or video of yourselves wherever running and post them to your social media pages. Make sure to tag Red Shamrock Foundation or Team Red Shamrock so all can see and share everyone's photos. Use hashtag #raceinplace and #teamredshamrock. We can't wait to see you all. Lets have some fun and support each other during these difficult times.
