Let me introduce you …
This is Miss Chris. Miss Chris is a lunchroom teacher who is instrumental in serving over 80 student lunches and 20 staff lunches in just 2 hours. That’s not all. She has a unique relationship with each child who enters the children’s dining room. She guides children to socialize through the lunch experience and practice grace and courtesy through the cleaning routines. Furthermore, it is likely that she will oblige to “one more story!” when asked to tell stories about her childhood best friend, Comanche. When Chris isn’t at MSIC, she is cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes (especially when Luka Garza played!) or spending time with her beautiful grandsons (all four!). Chris is a blessing to MSIC and we are grateful for the 3+ years she has dedicated to our school.
After school program is canceled today due to inclement weather. Elementary dismissal: 3:00
Pre-primary and primary dismissal: 3:15

Practical life skills such as sweeping and doing the dishes invite the child to practice sequence, in addition to experience the sensation of concentration with something non-academic so that later, they can experience a work for a prolonged period of time with satisfaction.

Today, we welcome the year of the Tiger. While the tiger is strong, ferocious, and playful, it is also enthusiastic and brave.
The year of the tiger reminds us to remain focused on our goals, and cherish moments with our friends.
A big thank you to our Montessori Families who helped us learn about the Chinese New Year today and yesterday. We made memories and shared many smiles! ❤️
Wishing all of our friends and families a very happy New Year! 🐅
