This vintage wardrobe needed a little TLC. That era of furniture generally has a bumpy varnish on it. In the turn of the century, manufactures used to put a wax base in there top coat to make the product go further. Consequently your paint will crackle and/or not adhere. On Lisa's piece, I stripped, sanded, applied clear primer, then painted two colors, and the last step I applied Antique Walnut stain over all. Unfortunately the picture doesn't do it justice.

For those of you who have been to my shop, this counter has NEVER looked this good in a long time. Do you want to take a bet on how long it stays this way 😜

Not only do I paint furniture, but I also refinish it. This three piece set looks great in in their bedroom. Thank you Joann and Ron for putting trust in me. On to the next project.

Tip for the day. When wanting to protect an area on your furniture piece that you are working on, try using press and seal then secure it with masking tape. If I don't do this, you know what happens, I get the stripper everywhere. If you have another method that works for you, please share it with us, we would love to hear from you.

Gold Hardware is stunning. This particular piece is going to Shop 121 in West Liberty. You two can create this for your own home. I prepped, primed, and painted Charleston Green by Wise Owl Paint. I had so much fun making this unicorn table for Corliss Donavan's granddaughter. When she is older, she will be able to remove the unicorn as it was hand painted on removable canvas. I love what I do........Let me know what you think

I painted this really cue side table for Jen Villhauer. Notice the the different lighting. The left is under cool lighting and the right is warm. It is helpful in knowing your lighting when choosing paint colors.

The side table was painted in W.O. Restoration, and the drawers are the same custom color as the walls. It looks great Jen. Thank you for trusting me.

Since there are only two colors, the possibilities for customization are pretty much endless. Mark DeRemer did a great job of demonstrating a few options by just changing the formulation of Snow Owl and Black. The formula is on the bottom of each color.
EXAMPLE: 1:2 means.... 1 part Restoration to 2 parts Snow Owl. Visit www.itsnewonceagain.com and see all the colors choices in both in Chalk Synthesis and Enamel paint.
