The Johnson County Joint Emergency Communications Center (JECC) is accepting applications and resumes for two (2) full-time 911 Public Safety Dispatchers.
The 911 Public Safety Dispatcher dispatches emergency calls including fire, ambulance, and crimes in progress calls by radio, telephone and computer; answers and dispatches all routine calls by radio, telephone, and computer; and operates computers to enter information regarding warrants, missing person, stolen property, etc. and to receive needed information.

Happy Halloween! Trick-or-treating occurs from 5:30-8:00 tonight! Just a few reminders:
-A supervising parent or guardian should accompany children.
-Don't visit homes with the outdoor lights turned off.
-Trick-or-treat on well-lit streets in your neighborhood, and carry a flashlight. Only go to homes that have porch lights on.
-NEVER enter a stranger’s house or accept a ride from a stranger.
-Walk on the sidewalk and always cross at intersections.
-Use caution around unfamiliar animals or pets.
We are seeing a recent uptick in vehicle burglaries. These have been occurring near parking lots in the early morning hours. Please please please please do not leave purses, wallets, and other valuables in plain sight as the suspect has been breaking out windows and taking these items.
