The current head on the car makes lots of power
But serms to run hot Really hot.

So wr are going to try building another, see what happens .
Starting of like usual with a used but not too rusty stock head-
Clean it up
Drill head studs 10&11.
Start working on the valve chambers next

Front bonnet repairs started

I did was nudge that straw bale, just barely touched it
Really….

Because you can never have only 1… or 2 or…..
Anyways.
Here’s our new addition to the family.
A 1959 Austin Healey MKI SPRITE.
Coming from Racing heritage she will have her challenges we need to overcome.
New rockers, the rear clip was hit and resculptured in bondo.
Lots of chefs had their hands in this one.
Figuring a 3 year project .
The goal is a more street friendly 3 season version of Miss Saffron.

Watch for her progress here as we also do our maintenance and repairs on miss saffron, and get Alexander’s sprite little debbie ready for some track days .

From Colorado to Ohio…
Filling the shop with sprites, our vintage Sebring sprite will be getting a stablemate.

A 1959 bugeye sprite that has been a race car forever-
Hopefullywith a solid chassis (?).

We love our Sebring sprite so much, this car will become a ( more) comfortable 3 season road going twin.
Heater, full windshield, top and side curtains . A bit softer suspension for those Ohio roads,
And a bit quieter for Ohio neighborhoods.
The bolt in roll bar structure will be removed and replaced with a more simple structure .
Not going to tame it roo much just add a bit more comfort for more public road fun.
