Anoka-Hennepin School District will host an in-person hiring event for operational positions TODAY from 2-6 p.m. in the Erling Johnson Rooms A and B at the Educational Service Center (ESC), located at 2727 N Ferry St. in Anoka (enter Door 7).
A wide variety of full- and part-time positions are available at schools across the district, including special education paras, elementary para (recess/lunch attendants), school bus paras, custodians, child nutrition staff, before- and after-school child care (Adventures Plus) - a.m. or p.m., substitute positions, and Minnesota Reading Corps.

Minh Strusz has been named principal of Hoover Elementary School for the 2022-23 school year. Strusz is currently serving as Hoover interim principal and has a strong familiarity and history with the Hoover community, having previously served as curriculum integrator at the time the STEM-H biomedical, health sciences and engineering speciality program was developed at the school.
Strusz’s experience in educational leadership includes service as a magnet school coordinator and classroom teacher for 12 years in Brooklyn Center Schools and as interim assistant principal at Wilson Elementary in Anoka, as well as assistant principal at Hoover Elementary. Anoka-Hennepin Parent Involvement is hosting a free training event, ‘Fundraising? Oh My!’. The event will give members of parent/teacher organizations, booster clubs or other nonprofits a boost by learning about different fundraising options that are available to groups in the school district or local area.
The event will be held in-person on April 19, 2022, from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Educational Service Center in Anoka (2727 N. Ferry St., enter door 7).
Attendees will get advice about determining their group’s fundraising needs, promoting fundraisers, creating a calendar and other best practices. They’ll take home tips and meet with fundraising vendors to learn about new opportunities. Participants will also have the chance to ask questions of local experts that may be helpful to their group, in the fields of insurance, banking, finance, and conflict resolution.
