Anoka-Ramsey Community College Art Department provides a quality arts education and assists students In addition to offering an Associate of Fine Arts degree, the Art Department also provides an opportunity to explore a variety of arts media.

We contribute to the liberal arts education of all students by offering introductory studio courses in drawing, ceramics, glass, digital media, painting, photography, and sculpture, as well as art history and art appreciation. A Haunting Artistic Tribute to Garment Workers Killed in Bangladesh and the US

This is a great article about Art Department Faculty Rachel Breen 's latest installation project! The reception is tomorrow night at the Perlman Teaching Museum in Northfield. Logo Design Contest!

Deadline March 15, 2017

The purpose of this contest is to create a new logo to represent the MN Pottery Festival. The logo would be included in all marketing efforts including all print, electronic, digital, and clothing. There is no fee to enter and it is open to all individuals—professionals, amateurs, and hobbyists.

-- Must be your own original design, and cannot include any previously copyrighted designs.
-- It should be in 3-color, we will also use it in greyscale.
-- The MN Pottery Festival will retain ownership of the chosen design to use at our will.
-- It should reflect the mission of the Minnesota Pottery Festival

“The mission of the Minnesota Pottery Festival is to provide a venue for high quality clay artists to educate and engage with an increasingly knowledgeable public by raising the public’s appreciation and understanding of pottery and help broaden the depth and breadth of ceramic arts in Minnesota.”

The winner will be chosen by the MNPF Board of Directors, all decisions are final. The winner will publicly recognized and promoted on our website. The winner will also be awarded $100 in “Pottery Bucks” to be redeemed at any artist booth at the festival on July 29-30, 2017. The winner will also be invited to the Preview Reception on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts.

-- Submission must be in a hi-res format in a scalable vector graphic and also in JPEG. The logo must be CMYK. It will be used in several different sizes depending on the marketing effort. Please include a 1,000 pixel square JPEG of the logo so that entries can be posted to MNPF web site and banner ads without the need for conversion.
-- Submission must include the name MN Pottery Festival
-- Must include your name, postal address, phone number, and email
