On Wednesday, C**n Rapids High School hosted the districtwide track and field meet, with more than 540 students from all six middle schools.

Coordinated by -Hennepin Community Education, the event brought together students, staff, and volunteers from across the district. Track events formed the core of the competition, with sprinters, distance runners, hurdlers, and relay teams taking to the track in a display of speed, agility, and determination. From the explosive starts of the 100-meter dash to the endurance tests of the 1600-meter run, each race was a showcase of talent and tenacity.

We are in need of several hallway monitors during MCA testing in April. There are 11 days of testing taking place on April 15-18, April 22-25, and May 1-3. Because of the extent of the testing this year I have left the sign-up open so if you can help please add your name and let me know what time(s) you can help. This is a great time to get caught up on some extra work, finish that book you've been meaning to read, or simply get some parent/caregiver interaction with our students and staff. I realize this is a big ask but please, if you are able, help us create an atmosphere of success for your students. Any amount of help will be beyond appreciated. Please take a look to see if you are available to help with any of the available shifts:
You are free to bring a book, magazines, quiet work, laptops, tablets, etc. to keep you busy during this time. Internet is available.

We appreciate your help with this! We want our students to have a nice quiet environment during their test-taking.

🎢 Around 250 students attended the Eighth Grade Choir Festival March 28 and participated in a workshop session where they rehearsed with guest clinician Amy Johnson, the choir teacher at C**n Rapids High School.

After performing two songs as a collective, all six middle schools had the opportunity to perform a song in front of their peers. The goal of the festival is to build a sense of why singing is important and how singing in a choir is beneficial to students.
