Told Jamie I'd wait to start the nutrition part in a couple months but found myself motivated TODAY to start evaluating my nutrition. Got the Fitness Pal app and plugged in today's food, water, and exercise.

Sometimes we just like to hang out! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Shoulder pain is too common these days. There are lots of ways to stretch and rehab too. ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Hanging is one of my new favorites. You should not get too aggressive with this, definitely ease into it. The goal is 3 minutes each day but start with 10-30 seconds and work your way up. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

Serious Problem Solver! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Shoulder pain sucks. Well all pain does. The pain is just a problem with the muscles, they are telling us something is wrong! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Repetition and past injury create imbalances that donโ€™t get fixed without the right unlocking techniques and strength exercises. You canโ€™t have one without the other! ๐Ÿค”

But I love solving problems! When I see something wrong I go into problem solver mode. Letโ€™s get this pain out of here by finding the source of the problem.

This is the second part to the shoulder pain, unlocking video I made last week. This is the strength exercise. This one is essential for your middle back which is most likely underdeveloped. Time to build it up! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

My pain is telling me there is problem in the body that I need to address. It is a RED Flag! ๐Ÿšฉ

The biggest problem I see is, when we feel the pain we think that is the area where we need the treatment. This is almost always WRONG! ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

It is most likely caused by the opposing muscle or a muscle that is overused. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Think about your everyday movements. Which movements are the most repetitive in your day?

Which position is your body in all day? ๐Ÿค”

Those muscles get TIGHT and restrictive, causing the opposing muscles to stretch and put strain on your tendons/ligaments. When they are stretched for too long, their defense mechanism is to spasm or strain because they are trying to get back to their normal length! ๐Ÿ’ฏ

It can be challenging to figure out which muscles to release and stretch. This is why it is important to see a professional who understands the body and itโ€™s functions. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

Most of my daily movements involve my arms in front of me and picking up/putting down weights. This means my chest it TIGHT and it needs to be lengthened. ๐ŸŽฏ
