Something all parents should consider attending.
Our focus is our children and creating a positive community, and a safe space.
Being aware of what is going on as our kids get older; identifying challenges and working through struggles is part of the gig. These educators are here to help you identify substance use/abuse and how to navigate the help and healing process.
Colleen OโNeil, Anoka-Hennepin Schools chemical health prevention specialist, in conjunction with Cindy Doth, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, will hold an informational forum on the topic of substance use and abuse and the signs and symptoms parents and guardians should be aware of. While parents are the ultimate educators, we don't always have all the information we need. When it comes to substance use, how do you know what to look for? How do you help your child if they are struggling and use substances to cope? Knowing the signs as well as the symptoms is important and helpful when navigating this often challenging and complex issue. Knowing where to go for resources can be of benefit as well. Join us as we navigate this topic with a focus on hope, health and healing.
