THE SETTING:
The kingdom is falling. Your people have fought against the armies of the Lich Queen for years, but the dead merely join their ranks. As you prepare the last stronghold for a final, hopeless battle; rumors begin to spread of an ancient and powerful artifact hidden in the frozen wastes. Its great and terrible power may turn the tide or spell ruin for us all. Will you aid the brave prince in his hunt or seek the power for yourself? Who will wield The Doomaxe?

“Doomaxe” is a level 5 original adventure. Participating characters are experienced warriors that have a history of battle with the armies of the dead. Players may take 1 green and 1 blue magic weapon, armor, or shield. Characters should be prepared to traverse difficult cold weather terrain.

THE RUINS OF SACHA KHAJAANA

Beneath the Temple of the Fossilized King, high atop the Unforgiven, a series of stairs stretches deep into the darkness, unveiled after a battle with goblins, skeletons, and a monstrous creature of stitched together flesh. After descending these steps for a full day, flickering torch light illuminates a runestone next to a suspicious hallway littered in bones. “Sacha Khajaana,” it reads. “True Treasure” in the language of the ancients who once dwelled in this land.

A MATTER OF PERSPECTIVE

How did such a simple quest go sideways? A rat problem at the Spilled Pint. It had been going so well. Then, a single misstep, a glowing rune, an ominous noise, and now the rats are as big as you are! Or rather, you’ve become as small as them. Your only hope at a return to normalcy, it seems, is to ascend the inner walls of the tavern and confront Emperor Rodentious Maximus to take the magical treasures he hoards so jealously!

ON THE SHORES OF LAKE EVENMIRE

At the end of a long day, nothing looks so inviting as a rest at camp. Fortunately, your journey was blessedly simple today – no bandits, no roving monsters, no nefarious plots, and now you’re able to set up camp on the picturesque shores of Lake Evenmire itself! As the sun sets, however, a thick mist begins to roil from the center of the lake illuminated in the pale moonlight…
