We are proud to serve organizations who value their staff and their mental health.

First responders often experience work related calls that overtime may lead them to experience cumulative stress, imposter syndrome, compassion fatigue/burnout, or even ptsd.

Statistics show that the quicker they can process out these traumatic related images and experiences, the less negative affect it will have on their personal and professional lives and relationships.

Without proper processing, addictions, self sabotage, isolation, grief, formation of negative core beliefs, interpersonal issues, hypervigilence, increased anger, and even su***de ideations may occur.

We are grateful to serve the following departments as they attempt to minimize these risks for our hometown heros. We assist them with off duty processing therapeutic tactics that can include; EMDR, CBT, DBT, CIDP, CISM, and more.

May this wall honor and serve as a reminder that you, your family, and our community will never have to fight this fight alone! We admire your off duty courage that gets displayed daily, as each of you and your families walk in our doors. ❤

Tonight, we mourn, and with heavy hearts announce the loss of one of our esteemed retirees and friend to all that ever met him. Allen "Big Al" Heulsebusch passed away suddenly this afternoon. Allen served the Conroe Fire Department and the Conroe Professional Firefighters Association for over 20 years. Al retired as an Engine Operator, which was an incredibly fitting position for him as he was considered an authority on fire apparatus design and function. After leaving the Conroe Fire Department, Al went on to work for Siddons-Martin as one of their most successful Industrial Fire Apparatus salesmen. He was a wealth of knowledge in the fire service and regularly taught industrial firefighting and foam operations to a countless number of firefighters throughout the years. The fire service wasn't his only passion. Big Al loved to spend time with his great many friends and family fishing and hunting. He was the driving force behind and the organizer of many fishing trips to Port O'Connor and dove hunting trips to Uvalde. Please keep his family and friends in your prayers as we all deal with this great loss. God speed sir.

Our Brother, Neal Radford lost a hard fought battle with COVID-19 today.

Brother Radford selflessly served the City of Conroe and IAFF, Local 2731. He worked hard to protect the citizens of Conroe as he worked his way up the ranks of the Fire Dept.(Ret. Lieutenant)and fought fearlessly for the health and safety of the Conroe Firefighters while serving on our Executive Board for many years.

Neal, you will be sadly missed...rest easy, Brother.

We could not me more proud that OUR State Senator Brandon Creighton proudly honored Texas First Responders by presenting Senate Resolution 92.

Senator Creighton has always been a champion for First Responder issues across the State Of Texas. THANK YOU, Senator for all of your hard work during this tough Legislative Session, and for your continued support for your local and state Firefighters.

Austin, Texas—Texas First Responders worked around the clock, leaving their own families in the cold and dark to keep Texans safe. Today, on the Senate Floor I passed Senate Resolution 92 to thank Texas’ First Responders for their heroic work throughout the state during the worst winter storm of record. Law enforcement, EMTs, Healthcare Professionals, National Guard, Firefighters and all first responders are true heroes that provided safety, warmth, food, shelter, water and hope to Texans in need. God bless you all.

Parts of the area will be seeing wintry precipitation tonight and tomorrow, so be sure to take extra care when driving, especially if you are crossing bridges or overpasses.

Having open air underneath the bridge means the cold air surrounds the bridge causing it to freeze quicker.

You've heard of "Turn Around, Don't Drown", but the new rhyme you need to remember is "Ice and Snow, Take it Slow.""

Over the past 3 days, our Conroe Fire crews have attended mental health training that was brought forth by Local 2731, in collaboration with the Conroe Fire Department. Lona Snell and her team with Grace & Guidance, PLLC have provided excellent training and awareness to the mental health stresses that first responders are exposed to on a daily basis.

We take the Heath and well-being of our men and women of the Conroe Fire Department very seriously, and are proud to offer first class training and counseling to them and their families.

We were blessed to be able to bring our behavioral health program to another department this week. Therefore, we would like to highlight CONROE FIRE DEPT and their leadership for courageously recognizing the need to address our off duty processing skills and the continual support of our first responders behavioral health. We enjoyed working with you guys and gals over the last 3 days! We also appreciated all of the positive responses you took the time to write down on our evals. Here are just a few of the many comments that you felt or appreciated about the class....

"I really enjoyed everything about the presentation and would recommend that every department do it."
"I cannot just pick one thing I liked about the class. I enjoyed the entire presentation."
"I appreciate the local 2731 and CFD for bringing this to us."
"I appreciated the part on how you can help yourself or the patient when the amygdala gets hijacked. Those steps will be helpful."
"I learned the signs of PTSD and related problems to be aware of."
"I enjoyed and appreciated your realness."
"I learned the importance of reaching out to others."
"Your services are a blessing. The presenters were authentic, spoke our language, and got to our level for connection."
"I learned I'm not alone in the things I've seen and felt!'
"This presentation was excellent!"
"Yall have a great program. Keep up the work!"
