The Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constables office, along with other law enforcement agencies, conducted a lengthy investigation into the shipment of gray market vehicles destined for delivery overseas. Grey market vehicles are often used as a commodity in money laundering operations and other crimes. The investigation by the Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constables office resulted in the seizure of four 2022 Toyota Tundras valued at approximately $287,000.00. This investigation and the seizure of these vehicles is part of our ongoing efforts to combat illegal activities and disrupt criminal networks.

UPDATE ON DOG MAULING OF REBECCA HATCHER

As you may recall, on June 20, 2022, REBECCA HATCHER of Magnolia was attacked by three dogs while walking near her home in the 37000 block of Pine Bark in the Hazy Hollow Subdivision in southwest Montgomery County, Texas. As a result of the attack, HATCHER was hospitalized in ICU for 5 weeks while medical staff attended to her wounds. Since that time, she has continued her recovery efforts.

After a lengthy investigation, on Monday, November 14, 2022, an investigator with the Montgomery County Precinct 2 Animal Cruelty Unit arrested ANGELA NICOLE LEACH, W/F, 34 YOA, of Magnolia on an outstanding warrant for Attack by Dog Causing Serious Bodily Injury, a 3rd degree felony under the Texas Health and Safety Code. There was a short delay in the arrest because LEACH is homeless and she was difficult to locate. LEACH is one of two owners of the dogs in question. The second owner at the time, MITCHELL WEEMES, is now deceased.

LEACH is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail under a $20,000 bond.
