FEMA and FCC Plan Nationwide Emergency Alert Test for Oct. 4, 2023 FEMA, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) this fall.

Chief Thomason broke in his partner Monty at the Patriots of Texas fest this weekend in Magnolia, Along with the members of the Montgomery County Constable Pct. 2 Operations Support Division - OSD. Monty did a great job on his first day of “work” as well as everyone else. We are looking forward to doing more events to serve the community of Montgomery County.

Today Chief Greg Thomason spoke to the Klein Oak High School Criminal Justice Class while they were at Webb's Uniforms getting fitted for their uniforms. Chief Thomason spoke to them on the importance of taking pride in your appearance each day. Also reminding them that you place importance on yourself, and you put your best foot forward to show your best abilities to the public as a first responder.

An impromptu Labor Day morning neighborhood trail ride was a great way to keep our horses mentally and physically ready for duty. We had a nice visit with neighbor Wesley Doolittle while we were out.

During the month of September each year you will notice the Pct. 2 Deputies wearing 9/11 Commemorative badge. This specially made badge is worn to honor those that were lost on 9/11 22 years ago.

Conroe Police Department National Night Out will be October 3rd, 2023 at Kroger Shopping Center located at 341 South Loop 336.

Today, a precinct 2 deputy was dispatched to a call in reference to a safe that was found on the side of the highway.
It was learned that the safe was purchased from an estate sale, and had fallen off of a vehicle during transport. The rightful owner was located, and was able to provide proof of purchase. The safe was returned to its rightful owner.

Capt. Eason joined with members of Constable Gable’s team to meet with apartment managers and stakeholders to address issues facing the Hispanic community in Montgomery County. Our office is committed to providing professional services to all of our residents to ensure we are effective and productive in our efforts to continue making Montgomery County a safe place to live and work.


On August 10, 2023 investigators with the Montgomery County Pct. 2 Constable’s Office were dispatched to an animal cruelty complaint in the 16000 Block of Yates St. In Splendora, TX.
During the investigation, it was learned that the suspect, identified as MARIO ANTONIO GOMEZ PERAZA, had allegedly been having sexual in*******se with the family dog. A witness to the event advised they observed GOMEZ PERAZA in the open shed with the dog, and that both GOMEZ PERAZA and the dog had sexual fluids on their ge****ls. DNA evidence was collected at the scene and has been submitted to the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Lab in Houston for analysis.
Investigative reports were presented to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, and an arrest warrant charging GOMEZ PERAZA with Be******ty, Texas Penal Code 21.09, a State Jail Felony was issued. GOMEZ PERAZA was arrested on the afternoon of August 11, 2023, without incident, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he was booked on the charge. GOMEZ PERAZA later posted a $5,000 bond for his release.
An individual adjudged guilty of a state jail felony shall be punished by confinement in a state jail for any term of not more than two years or 180 days. In addition to confinement, a state jail felony may be punished by a fine not to exceed $10,000.

This morning Commissioners Court authorized a burn ban which takes effect immediately. Due to the ongoing dry conditions and with no rain in the forecast it’s imperative that all outdoor burning cease.

Today is a bittersweet day at Pct. 2 as we celebrated Linda Brown’s retirement. Linda has been with our office for 15 years as a clerk. While we wish Linda all the enjoyment that retired life had to offer, we will sure miss her! Congratulations Linda!!

Due to a grant program we were able to obtain a ballistic shield for each one of our vehicles. Another implement to make us ready and help protect us when evil shows up at our door.

Today we attended the grand opening of Montgomery County Emergency Service District #3 station 31. The new building is amazing and we look forward to working along with you for Montgomery County.

The Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constables office, along with other law enforcement agencies, conducted a lengthy investigation into the shipment of gray market vehicles destined for delivery overseas. Grey market vehicles are often used as a commodity in money laundering operations and other crimes. The investigation by the Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constables office resulted in the seizure of four 2022 Toyota Tundras valued at approximately $287,000.00. This investigation and the seizure of these vehicles is part of our ongoing efforts to combat illegal activities and disrupt criminal networks.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Don Buckalew. Don, Donnie Buckalew, and the whole team over at Buckalew Chevrolet, LP have always been a huge supporter of our office and Montgomery County law enforcement. Don will be sorely missed.

Today The Montgomery County Pct. 2 Constables Office gathered with employees, family, friends, Elected Officials and other law enforcement officers for a promotion ceremony for Greg Thomason and future employee David Eason. Captain Thomason was officially promoted to Chief Deputy today. Chief Deputy Thomason has big shoes to fill with the retirement of our former Chief Mike White.
We also had the pleasure to formally announce that David Eason (currently with the Sheriff’s Office) will become our Captain beginning January 21st.
We would like to thank all those who were able to join us today, we truly appreciate you.

On Wednesday this week, members of the Pct. 2 Constable's Office gathered with friends and family of our Lt. W. L. Gladden to celebrate his retirement. After some 24+ years in law enforcement total, 18+ years with Pct. 2, W.L. has decided to retire and enjoy his time off with family. We will miss his knowledge and leadership, and wish him the best with his next endeavors. Rumor has it that he is already back at the deer lease!

UPDATE ON DOG MAULING OF REBECCA HATCHER
As you may recall, on June 20, 2022, REBECCA HATCHER of Magnolia was attacked by three dogs while walking near her home in the 37000 block of Pine Bark in the Hazy Hollow Subdivision in southwest Montgomery County, Texas. As a result of the attack, HATCHER was hospitalized in ICU for 5 weeks while medical staff attended to her wounds. Since that time, she has continued her recovery efforts.
After a lengthy investigation, on Monday, November 14, 2022, an investigator with the Montgomery County Precinct 2 Animal Cruelty Unit arrested ANGELA NICOLE LEACH, W/F, 34 YOA, of Magnolia on an outstanding warrant for Attack by Dog Causing Serious Bodily Injury, a 3rd degree felony under the Texas Health and Safety Code. There was a short delay in the arrest because LEACH is homeless and she was difficult to locate. LEACH is one of two owners of the dogs in question. The second owner at the time, MITCHELL WEEMES, is now deceased.
LEACH is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail under a $20,000 bond.
ALL ARREST INFORMATION AND PHOTOGRAPHS ARE PUBLIC INFORMATION. ALL SUBJECTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL CONVICTED IN A COURT OF LAW.

Recently members of our department attended a training course to train for certain
emergencies that occur in our area. They received training from Rescue Training International in flood and swift water technician operator level 1 in New Braunfels
Texas.

Early this morning 4 females were apprehended at the Pct. 2 Constable office on suspicion of being TOO nice to the public. They were later charged and sentenced to Keep Up The Good Work!!
