Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

'Twas the night before Christmas in Montgomery County,
With wind chills and flurries too cold for a townie!
While many sing songs and tuck kids in bed,
First responders begin their night shifts instead.
All wait for ol’ Santa while cozy at home,
As unsung heroes keep us safe while alone,
From nurses to police, EMTs to fire,
And others work late despite their desire.
So no drinking and driving, it’s never been right
You could hurt yourself or give others a fright!
But if you decide to do it, you’ll end up in jail
And who wants their present to be a post-Christmas bail?
So celebrate at home with family, or friends at a bar…
Just don’t end your night behind the wheel of your car!
There’s options like cabs, Uber, and Lyft
Any of which can get you home in a jif!
We all want our loved ones to return home okay
And making a plan is the only way
Some know the pain all too well
Yet nobody deserves to make that farewell
Let’s all do our part, let’s do the right thing!
Then we can ALL hear those sleigh bells ring
Here at our office, we see that justice is done
And victims are heard, each and every one
Through a dark tunnel, we are the light
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!!!

Don’t forget the Lyft code for a $20 credit! TXDOTS20. Be safe out there!

We hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. Our office will be open again on Tuesday, December 27th.

Last week was the annual Tree of Angels Ceremony. This event is held to remember victims of violent crime. Our very own Investigator Suzanne Hollifield spoke at the event and delivered a powerful message. We are honored to join together with the community in remembering their loved ones and continue to pursue justice for the voiceless.
