Tile restoration is underway! It’s been a major cleanup process after 100 years of buildup but once we get the roof surface rehabilitated and sealed up she’ll look brand new. Expect to see some fresh colors here shortly!

This week we are excited to start on our biggest project to date! The historic Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, Texas will be getting a FULL roof rehab by our crews, and will be lead by Josh James who was actually born and raised in this town! This magical building opened in 1929 and has been a milestone in so many luxurious accommodations over the past century and is now an official Texas Historical Landmark that is undergoing a 4 year $70 million restoration. We will be posting updates as this progress goes on!

Pro-Tip for Texas homeowners: the term “15/30/50 Year Roofs” are just a way that manufacturers labor their “Good, Better, and Best” shingles. In Texas - there’s no such thing as an asphalt roof that will last 50 years. The weather is way to extreme and volatile which deteriorates roofs 5x more than other parts of the country. Realistically, 20 years is the maximum you’ll get out of an asphalt shingle roofing system in Texas.

Be sure to clean your roof! We recommend cleaning every 2-3 months depending on how many trees you have around your home. Piles of leaves like this trap moisture on the roof and degrade the shingles much faster. Unfortunately, this roof had many other problems due to moisture and will need to be replaced. We were called out to inspect a leak and we found all this damage done to this roof. Now, we are looking at doing a full roof replacement! Even with flat roofs, water is suppose to flow off from the roof. It's not suppose to "pool" like you see in these pictures. The Ferner's job is all complete and absolutley BEAUTIFUL up against Town Lake! They went with GAF's impact resistant ArmorShield II shingles that not only look great, but also gave them a discount on their homeowners insurance for being UL 2218 Class 4 Impact Resistant!

Another FEMA roofing restoration project knocked out in Lake Charles! 30 more homes repaired and back in livable condition after and destroyed this housing community. 55 homes done so far in the past 30 days and on to the next!

Wrapping up here with our first housing development restoration for FEMA here in Lake Charles! 25 roofs done in 8 days. Our team is killing it! Next up is getting the siding replaced on these houses with fresh paint to make them as good as new!
