Why “Bethaby Creates?”
Bethaby is a mashup of my first and last names lovingly bestowed upon me as a college nickname by one of my best friends in the world, / The “Creates” part is because the more I create, the more I feel like myself. My subjects and mediums are constantly changing - there are forever anchors, like painting (big dreams of a gallery someday) and making jewelry with my mom, but a lot of my polymer clay knowledge I only acquired this year, with last year bringing loves for learning crochet and UV resin. As I grow my art business, I’m finding myself fighting against pressure to niche down. Whatever I make and whatever I make it with, the key for me is in the celebrating and encouraging of creativity. In this season of Bethaby Creates, that looks like a mixture of clay workshops, market and festival spots, personalized commissions, spirit rock murals, and an exciting new side gig (IYKYK) ✏️ To everyone reading and interacting with this page as it grows, THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping me keep moving and grooving towards my dreams! 💓🎨
