(Big voice with reverb). DRUM…CORPS…. IN…. SPACE!
We would like to wish Troopers Alum & Artemis II Engineer Tice a successful launch today. At 6:24pm ET, humankind will launch further into space than anyone has ever gone before. For the first time since 1972, we will circle the dark side of the moon and return to Earth.
Paul Tice, a Troopers alumnus of the late 1970s, has been a steadfast supporter of the corps, especially in recent years, having been an active volunteer and serving on the board of directors.
It has been exciting anticipating the progress of this moment. Over the last few years, Paul kept our Executive Director up to speed. "Reviewing Artemis2 software test cases and listening to 2023Troop!! 👍🤠" Paul said back in the summer of 24.
Today is the day! We couldn't be prouder of our fellow Trooper!
Parents, there is a minimum age at which you should introduce your kids to Screamo.
Music. Kindness. Respect. Pass it on.

FREAK. ING. A. MAZ. ING. She was absolutely the right choice for this seemingly impossible job. I think the MOST impressive thing about Annika is simply her willingness to do this at all. To step into the shoes of the Master and allow herself to be compared to him by millions of people took serious guts. Gut gemacht, Annika!

I want to say congrats to ALL bands, orchestras, and choirs for doing MPA no matter what your rating. Preparing a musical program you know is going to be criticized (hopefully constructively) in great detail with experienced music educators looking at the same notes you are is nerve-racking for students and teachers alike. You deserve recognition for your hard work and just being willing to step onto the critical stage (as opposed to a general public stage).
However FAR more important is that you are learning how to make ART. Ratings often distract from the true goal. Just by making beautiful music you are saving the planet! It is so badly needed in this world today more than ever. THAT ALONE is worth any “Superior” rating.

If you have not seen it, I recommend The Last Repair Shop on Disney Plus, winner of the Oscar for best short documentary this year. Especially for my musical friends and colleagues, but it will resonate (see what I did there?) with everyone. ❤️🎶
