Common phrase for me after finishing a piece… I love this one… I kinda don’t want it to sell so I can keep it….

I’ve had a violin in my studio ready for a new glass top for longer than I will admit to (over a year!!!!) yesterday it literally jumped out of the closet. (I was no where near the closet and it fell out onto my studio floor.) I took it as a sign that I needed to do something with it. So here is my work in progress while I wait for the kiln to cool down. It’s been a busy 2 days!

2nd time worked much better than the first!!!! Custom enamel paintings on stained glass. Still working out the kinks with the kiln. Going to try to slump a plate tomorrow, maybe! These two beauties are up at two.beanscoffee in Commerce if you want them! I don’t think they will be there long, there is a big event in town this weekend. So go grab them up and visit Emily and the rest of the wonderful Baristas up there!

My kiln journey is just starting. It looked great when I brought them out- but shortly started to hear the all toooo familiar pops and cracks. I’m not 100% sure what went wrong in the process… but the orange glass did not make it! But failure means opportunity to grow! The yellow will be made into a flower and we will try again! Still kinda sad my cool sunshine didn’t make it
