We are sad to see the face of Brick Row Music leave for Oklahoma - Joel Weaver and his wife. He is off to a new adventure that will no doubt prove to be life changing and fun. We will miss him.
Our new store hours for 2024 are: Tue, Wed, Thu 12 - 6pm. If ya get to our store and we are not open, call the number on the door and we will try to help you out!

To the crews and leaders of Commerce, TX for your quick recognition and response time to getting our water issue remedied. Thank you to leadership for the upgrades to the system that made for quicker results and life back to normal. And a water system that will support our future growth.

I’m listening to TAMUC Lion’s football on KETR 88.9 while repairing a guitar in our repair shop. The gentleman who are calling the game were just bragging about The Pride Marching Band and their excellence on the field and how they are the tops among all of the marching bands in the conference.

Friends, we are getting close! Here’s one last sneak peek inside our new space on Virginia for ya! I’m standing just inside the front door all the way to the left, looking towards the back door. That’s the full bar halfway down on the right… 😉 We’ve passed our inspections and a C/O is imminent. Next time you want to get a look-see, you’re gonna have to come and get it in person… 😁

This will be our last weekend on Louisiana Street. We’ll be open as per usual through Sunday. Come Monday, Sharyn and I will start deconstructing our existing setup and moving the small stuff over to Virginia. Signs, lights, ingredients, bottles (lots of bottles!), nick-nacks and do-dads; it’s all gotta go! Ice cream will still be available on Monday though the space might look a bit disheveled. Come Tuesday, our doors will be closed and the movers will transport the big stuff; freezers, refrigerators, Big Frigid, audio system, etc.

Wednesday and likely Thursday will be days to organize and set things up in the new space that we can open again by Friday! We’ll do everything we can to be ready to rock when next weekend rolls around! Greg Hargrove/GDH Music gonna help us kick things off right… 😎 I should have the freezers full by then and we’ll all work on getting that big beautiful bar stocked and ready to create some crazy creative ice creamy concoctions!

That’s our schedule for this coming week, all things going according to plan of course. One never knows what life is ready to dish out so if anything changes, I’ll be sure to report back here. It’s a beautiful hot sunny summer Saturday today; we’ll look forward to seeing a bunch of ya downtown as we wind down this storied chapter of our lives and get ready to write a few more!
