The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Jackson County through 11:00 PM tonight due to the potential for excessive rainfall and flash flooding. Multiple rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms may lead to flooding of creeks, streams, roads, and low-lying areas.
Continue to monitor forecasts and weather alerts throughout the day. Stay weather aware and have multiple ways to receive warnings.
As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything in defense of our nation.
