When is the best time to view and photograph a "full moon"? You may be surprised it's not on the 'full moon" date, but the evening prior. Shooting the evening prior allows for viewing during blue hour instead of against a black night sky due to the fact the moon usually rises about an hour prior the day before the official full moon date. In the case of the upcoming Strawberry Moon, it will be fuller this evening, Tuesday June 10th as opposed to tomorrow evening since the fullest stage occurs at 3:44am Wednesday June 11.
