Columbus Area 2026 Solar Co-op - Solar United Neighbors 05/17/2026

We’re proud to be featured as a partner for the Columbus Area 2026 Solar Co-op, organized by Solar United Neighbors.

This solar/storage/EV charger co-op is open to residents of the City of Columbus and the surrounding region, offering community members an opportunity to explore clean energy options with vendor-neutral guidance, group purchasing power, and support throughout the process.

At Green Columbus, our work is rooted in building a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable Central Ohio. Supporting this effort is a natural extension of our mission to foster healthier communities through sustainable environmental action.

Through the co-op, participants can learn about solar, ask questions, compare options, and move forward with more confidence. Homes within the official City of Columbus boundaries may also qualify for a 20% rebate, up to $5,000 per household, through the 2026 co-op program.

We’re excited to support this community-driven effort alongside Solar United Neighbors and fellow local partners.

What an incredible turnout we had for the third annual Pickerington Earth Day Clean Up event! The Pickerington Lions Club would like to thank the following groups and organizations for giving their time and energy to plant native trees, pick up litter and waste, and generally spruce up the community we all are committed to serving.

We can't wait to do this again next year but hope you will consider doing what you can to make this Earth a better place between now and next year! 🌎

Thanks for showing up!

Earth Month isn’t over yet.

We’re still joyfully revisiting moments from our 2026 Earth Day celebration and thinking: Columbus, you really showed up.

Throughout Earth Month, neighbors came together for the land we all share - cleaning, planting, learning, and leading with intention. This year alone, 50,000 native tree saplings (yes, fifty thousand!) found their way into the ground, ready to take root across our communities. We coordinated and supported 100+ service sites, from hands on cleanups and plantings to immersive learning experiences that deepened our connection to place.

As May begins with rain - so needed, so welcome - we’re reminded that growth often starts quietly, nourished by collective effort.

Earth Day may be one day on the calendar, but the work continues every day. Thank you to our partners and sponsors, and to everyone who stepped in in their own way, using their time, voice, and care to protect what sustains us all.
