Doc Robinson
We are a rock and roll band from Columbus Ohio
We make backyard bbq breakup music.
Loose lineups, tight arrangements, and an impeccable aptitude for simple, punchy pop hooks have defined Doc Robinson’s recent, robust catalog of “backyard BBQ breakup music.”
In 2016, Nick D’Andrea and Jon Elliott emptied their backpack full of soulful influences and stitched the band together as a melding of their two favorite artists (Smokey Robinson + Dr. Dog), enlisting a rotation of Columbu

To put a beautiful cap on the year, we’re honored, humbled, and endlessly grateful to everyone who voted us #1 Columbus Band of 2025 on Columbus Underground!
We truly can’t express how much your continued support means to us. From spinning and sharing our music to belting out our choruses with us at shows— it never goes unnoticed. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. ❤️
We’ve got a lot in the works for 2026, and we can’t wait to share what’s coming next.
And seriously — do yourself a favor and check out the other artists on this list. Columbus has a DEEP bench — many of whom are dear friends of ours — making incredible music, and every one of them deserves a listen.
Cheers and Happy Holidays!

SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT
We are delighted to be joining Kendall Street Company on November 22nd at Woodlands Tavern. We’ll be doing an acoustic set to kick off the night and we sure do hope you’ll come sing along. ✌️
One year ago we released Joyride.
It all started back in January of 2023 at a songwriting retreat at AB’s, where we wrote and created as a band for the first time. Those sessions reshaped our sound and brought us closer together in the process.
Later that year, we recorded the album at Suma Recording Studio in Painesville, Ohio — right in the heart of the snow belt where I grew up. Coming back to my old stomping grounds after twenty years to make a record with Doc Robinson felt like coming home. We stayed with my parents, ate tacos, and acted like teenagers again.
Huge thanks to David and Michael at Suma for capturing the magic, and to Joe Viers at Sonic Lounge for mixing the musical concoction together.
We’re endlessly grateful to everyone who’s listened, shared, and supported us this past year. You keep this dream alive.
