Eric Rollin & Johnny Williamson blowing minds at the weekly shakedown at Scarlet & Grey cafe (Weird Music). 2010 🤯🤯🤯
Here’s the band name origin story! In the 1986 film Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, the two protagonists are Stretch, a radio dj and Lefty, a vigilante Texas Ranger. There’s a scene where they yell each other’s names together, and it jumped out to us while we were sitting around brainstorming about what to call our budding noisiness. Sounded kinda p***y, kinda funky. It stuck because it was vague and nonsensical and let us fill in what it means over time with our varied musical directions. As you can see from the clip below, it’s like it was always meant to be!
Some of you guessed CORRECT!! 1000 cool points awarded!! Redeemable at A&R Bar this Saturday!!

MATTY MONTAGE MONDAY
We'd joke that if Matty ever found out how great he is on bass, the show would be over for us.
🤫PLEASE DO NOT TELL HIM BEFORE SATURDAY🤫

The show next weekend is not necessarily a Halloween party, but costumes will be welcome and applauded. We for example will be dressing up as this funky radical 2000s band and playing a bunch of their songs! 👻

POV: You are a sound engineer named B.J. Davis . You've been up all night recording maniacal funk-rap with this band while pleading with them not to use wah pedals on every part of every song. The mixes are nearly complete when they ask... "is there a way to add wah pedal to the drums and vocals?"
