I asked a close friend of mine if his website was SEO optimized. He wasn't sure so he let me analyze his website which was built with GoDaddy. Going through their AI assisted SEO features, I was shocked and a little disappointed that SEO keywords had to be approved before they could be updated on his site.

Not only that, it took two days to even use the SEO features because they were not loading. There are PROs and CONs to using thirdy party platforms for your websites. One of the biggest cons being the lack of CONTROL you have over the tech/tools to accomplish what you set out to do.

Having a site custom built for your business (even if it's more expensive on the front end) is a better long-term investment. Stop renting your own assets and own them. CTRL your brand, people.

This is a physical, community-focused business directory designed to keep our businesses visible beyond social media algorithms. Unlike posts that disappear in a day or two, this publication will circulate throughout storefronts, community spaces, and high-traffic locations across the city.

We are currently reserving 100 spots for the inaugural issue.
