Today we celebrate freedom.
Not just the freedom won in 1865, but the freedom we walk in every day —
spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and historically.
We honor the strength of our ancestors.
We acknowledge the pain of the past.
And we press forward, walking in purpose, power, and promise.
