At PrimaryOne Health, we are pleased to announce the launch of our Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) on April 6th!

Participants will be working with a therapist and peer recovery specialist in groups of 12 people or less. The program consists of 3-hour long sessions of group therapy 3 days a week, coupled with individual therapy, peer recovery support services, and/or medication services. Length of treatment can vary based on each individual’s progress but can last anywhere from 2-3 months.

The cost of treatment is covered by insurance, and we can assist with Medicaid applications as needed. Our goal is to make healthcare more convenient by combining multiple services under one roof.

We acknowledge that recovery can look different for each person and will work to tailor the treatment to each participant’s specific needs. We believe that having fun and feeling joy are important aspects of a beneficial therapeutic space and are committed to incorporating this belief into all we do.

Today, PrimaryOne Health celebrates School-Based Health Center (SBHC) Day. Research has produced strong evidence that SBHCs help increase access to care, positive health outcomes, and academic achievement. P1H is proud to provide school-based care in Groveport and Columbus!

Individuals facing homelessness often suffer from increased rates of chronic and acute illnesses, behavioral health issues, and other disparities that heighten their susceptibility to poor health, disability, and premature death. Homeless Health Care (HCH) programs offer extensive primary and behavioral health care, along with case management and additional supportive services tailored to the needs of those without secure housing. These services emphasize trauma-informed care approaches, prioritizing healing, autonomy, safety, and trust, empowering individuals to advocate for their own well-being.

Health and housing are inevitably intertwined. The social determinants of health include your neighborhood and built environment, meaning that these factors directly contribute to a person's health. Community health centers help patients overcome such barriers to obtain the healthcare they need. This is why PrimaryOne Health is so proud to be a health center during this momentous week.
