Perry Township's Halloween trick-or-treat activities will take place from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. The Perry Township Police will be patrolling the neighborhoods and distributing candy to all those participating in this year's event. We would like to remind residents to:

• Ensure trick-or-treaters are accompanied by an adult and walk in groups.
• Have children and adults carry a flashlight or some alternative lighting source.
• Never go into someone's home or accept a ride from a stranger.
• For motorists, drive slowly, eliminate distractions, and remain attentive. Enter and exit driveways carefully as children are quickly moving through these areas.

Finally, please report anything suspicious or any unsafe activities to the Perry Township Police.

Once again, autumn has arrived, and along with it comes the falling of leaves from the beautiful trees in our community. Perry Township offers leaf pick-up services to all township residents beginning October 16, 2023, to December 1, 2023. The general guidelines for leaf collection include:

• Rake all leaves to the edge of your yard.
• Do not rake leaves into the street for the safety of motorists, walkers, and bicyclists.
• Piles of leaves should be free of tree limbs, vines, grass, and other debris.
• Leaves should not be piled around mailboxes, fire hydrants, etc.
• Do not park vehicles in front of or on top of leaf piles.
• Piles of leaves should not obstruct the roadway or any storm sewer drain/catch basins.
• Do not bag your leaves if you want them picked up by the township.
• Yard waste pickup from Rumpke will continue through November 25, 2023.

More specific questions should be directed to Ian Warren, Perry Township Road Superintendent, by emailing [email protected] or by calling (614) 889-8781. Residents can see the progress of our four-member road crew by following them on Perry Township's website (www.perrytwp.org) and page (https://www.facebook.com/PerryTownshipFranklinCounty).

July 4th Message to Perry Township:

On July 4th, 1776, our nation was founded on the ideals of liberty, justice, and equality. We celebrate each Independence Day with gratitude for the blessings of freedom and opportunity our forefathers afforded us. Although today is a different time, we are all Americans, and we are responsible to ensure these ideals and blessings are held true for this generation as well as the next.

In addition, during this July 4th, we ask all Perry Township residents that, while enjoying the company of family and friends and participating in parades and block parties, you take a moment to honor our veterans who have fought for and military personnel who continue to defend the freedom that we’re celebrating. And in the spirit of pride and unity, we’d also like to thank you – for supporting all of our first responders, especially our own Perry Township Police for maintaining the safety and security of our community.

Enjoy your holiday!
