"We have received many questions about how the new tariffs will impact our pricing. For now, Mayco will be able to absorb the existing tariffs on raw materials from all countries except China. Earlier this year, in anticipation of the threatened tariffs on Chinese goods, we purchased large quantities of those raw materials sourced from China and have an adequate supply for the next several months. So, barring other unanticipated costs or events, we do not expect a price adjustment on color for at least the 90-day pause and hopefully longer.
Bisque, also sourced from China, is a different situation. We are holding prices while we monitor movement in the tariffs. If the high tariffs stay in effect, then we will undoubtedly have to raise our prices. We commit to absorbing all of the increased costs we can and will work to find other cost savings to reduce the impact as much as possible.
It is important to note that if there is an increase in bisque pricing, it is ideal to determine the profit margin that you want to obtain when pricing your products. This differs from taking the new wholesale price and using a standard multiplier. Adding the increase to your current price allows you to maintain your profit margin."

Inspired by aspects of nature, Elements™ glazes produce lush, organic, and earthy hues. Though originally designed to simulate the aesthetic, movement and interest of mid-range and high fire glazes in a cone 06/05 oxidation kiln firing, Elements™ glazes can also be used at mid-range and high temperatures, both as standalone colors and in combination with other glazes.
This month, we will be sharing all you need to know about using Elements™ at higher temperatures and how you can make the most out of these glazes.
