Looks like the repaving project is underway on Tara Hill Drive in the Indian Run neighborhood. I experienced first hand the frustration of navigating through flat-bed semi trucks unloading equipment on Wichita, dump trucks lined up on Tara Hill to haul away debris, and oncoming traffic. Lets be patient when driving around this mess as the streets are already too narrow for two cars to pass if someone is parked on the street as well. In many of the curves, it is hard to see if a cyclist, pedestrian, child, or oncoming car is up ahead of a parked car or piece of equipment, so slow down and triple check. To make our neighborhood streets safer and easier to navigate, we should ALL be parking in our garages and driveways anyway, but this may be an especially great time to focus on this. Anyone who has had to deal with two way traffic, garbage / recycling trucks, school busses, the inevitable parked landscaping truck / trailer, and parked cars staggered along either side of Fallen Timbers on Wednesday mornings knows what I'm talking about.

This is one of the tough choices right now for designers. I've used various versions of Vector Works, AutoCAD, Form Z, and more Adobe products than I can name and the cost of software licenses can make choosing the right programs for your business (or the fear of choosing the wrong one) a major stressor. If you use this type of software, share your thoughts.
