Thank you to everyone who has listened to this music for the past 10 years. We continue to receive messages from old and new listeners alike, who write stories of how this album has affected them and been integral in their life journey. We are humbled and honored, and we are filled with hope that these songs will continue to inspire people for generations to come.

Today we reflect on the memories made in the course of Aftermath’s conception. We can’t feel anything but gratitude, love and appreciation for what we made.

Blue was written 10 years ago! ⛈️

Just a couple days before we recorded this video we wrote the majority of the song during a sound check in a little bar with a stage in the corner.

This was a super raw recording and some perfectly timed lightning and thunder was the cherry on the sundae that makes this one of our favorite songs to this day.

We knew when we started working on new music that would go on to become mother that we didn’t want to make an Aftermath part 2 (After-Aftermath). We had a couple songs in the can that sounded like an extension of that record and we found ourselves asking the question of “why?”

As artists, we had stretched and grown since we last wrote music, and cashing in a check for what we had basically already written before didn’t seem genuine.

We’re so thankful for the friendly words we’ve received about mother. We’re thankful for the people that continue to listen and check in with us. We know that the songs on mother were different, and probably a little alienating to some people. But at the end of the day, we couldn’t be happier with it. We made it hoping you all would dig it, but more importantly, we made it for ourselves.
