Setting old doors always takes me a quick minute…especially when someone else took out the doors, pulled the jambs & separated everything! 🙃 There is always some chiseling, re-drilling, shimming, fixing the stryker plate & aligning the closing system — somehow, I can never find the correct door for the original door jamb ☠️ — there is always the thot (once I’m into this for an hour)…wouldn’t it be faster to buy a pre-hung door from ?? — then I see this : the pic is the door to the master bedroom @ the — I love ❤️ everything about this door. So, yes - there are quicker ways to do this (and I am slow) / but putting back doors that are +100 years old…in the home they came from…just seems right.
