The image of one of my original pieces, BRIGHT NEW WINGS, will be used to promote the November event of the organization "Art 4 Abolition", a group which uses the Arts to bring awareness of human trafficking throughout the world. "Bright New Wings" is symbolic of new beginnings, fresh starts, a new life to live. Donated to the organization, the piece will be auctioned during the event. Date of event TBA: "Love Bein' A Lady" Tea, Performance, and Elegantees Fashion Show.

I was 1 of 26 central Ohio artists commissioned to create a mask for the "Courage Unmasked" fund raiser for the JoansFoundation now exhibiting at several locations in Columbus. This is an exhibit you'll want to check out in person!

Courage Unmasked | The Joan Levy Bisesi Foundation My survivor, Dr. Itzhak Brook, has written a book about his throat cancer. I used his words to complement the head forms in my piece, which sym-bolize the emotions created by adversity. The largest head emerges powerfully, an example of resilience and gratitude. Vibrant colors suggest vitality.
