A tip from Mr. Foundation:
It is very important to maintain the gutters and grading around your home! 25% of problems discovered during inspection, are a result of improper exterior maintenance.
When there’s a back and forth of rain and cold temperatures it can affect the grading and soil around your home. If the soil stays saturated, these are some other things that can happen:
• During a freeze, saturated soil can expand exerting additional pressure around your walls.
• This can cause a cycle of wall cracking and begin to weaken the foundation.
• These cracks can be entry points for water to find its way into your home.
We offer products to both reinforce the wall strength and correct wall movement!
It is also VERY important to clean leaves out of your gutters. When your gutter is clogged with leaves water can’t flow properly.
