Invisible Ground
Invisible Ground is a podcast hosted by Brian Koscho that explores the history of Southeast Ohio.
Unearth your story with Athens County Public Libraries and Invisible Ground! We want to hear your personal stories about what the library means to you, what you use it for, why it is important, and what your community would look like if those resources were not there. You can also share a story for the Oral History Time Capsule project too. Come on out to one of our tour dates below or in the video and talk to me, checkout an audio kit to easily record your own story at any branch (includes instructions and questions), or reach out to us on here, email ([email protected]) us or call (740) 300-0155 and leave your story as a message. Free stickers too!! Hope to hear from you!

Our 20th episode is all about Nelsonville, Ohio, which is home to our two newest Immersive Historic Sites: the Nelsonville Brick Kilns and the city's historic Public Square. They join our previous site at Stuart's Opera House (featured in episode 15). We will talk about both places in this episode and learn more about the town’s Black History, its connection to professional baseball and its industrial roots.
